Dr. Prabhu is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Audiology at All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore, INDIA. He has completed his Masters and Ph.D in Audiology from All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore. Dr. Prabhu’s research interests are in the area of tinnitus, hyperacusis, misophonia, auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder, hidden hearing loss/cochlear synaptopathy.
Dr. Prabhu has published more than 80 articles as author and co-author in reputed peer reviewed National and International journals. He is currently serving as an Academic Editor for the prestigious PLOS ONE journal, Review Editor for Frontiers in Audiology and Otology journal, and Assistant Editor in Journal of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing. He has also authored eight book chapters and has served as a reviewer for several reputed International journals.
Dr. Prabhu has completed a specialized course on audiologist delivered cognitive behavioral therapy for tinnitus, hyperacusis and misophonia. Dr. Prabhu is currently working on audiological aspects of misophonia and using ICF framework to understand these disorders better.
